Budget Friendly Kitchen & 2nd Place- Medium Kitchen ‘Beach Ball’ by Cheryl Kees Clendenon Here’s a perfect rendition of a contemporary twist on a classic beach cottage. This kitchen in a rental was designed for the easy navigation of a large number of guests. The island offers generous seating areas and plenty of counter space aptly crafted to serve multiple cooks. 3rd Place- Medium Kitchen ‘Copper Elements’ by Rhonda Knoche, CMKBD This is a special rendition for a half-artist, half-engineer client who appreciates practical, clever solutions mixed with a sense of humor and philosophy! 2013 NKBA Kitchen Design Competition – Large Kitchen

First Place & Best Kitchen



Best Kitchen & 1st Place- Large Kitchen ‘Raise a Glass’ by Wendy F. Johnson, CKD, CBD This kitchen translates into some serious cooking and baking for her, and a computer center and seven-stool raised bar area for him. With the focal point being the glass wall and views of a private golf course beyond, a large center island forms the heart of the space, open to an elaborate wall of cooking, refrigeration and storage. 2nd Place- Large Kitchen & People’s Pick Kitchen Winner ‘Step Back in Time’ by Bryan Reiss, CMKBD This renovated kitchen in an historical home features antiqued, hand-painted finishes and a large antique Chinese print on the soaring wall over the stairs – a step into historic modernity!
