Design Notes: To create an open, warm kitchen for entertaining, the designer created a stainless steel island with gas and electric cooktops and a prep sink. Wrapped around it are alder veneer cabinetry, two refrigerators, a wine refrigerator and double wall ovens. A large pass-through (with a curved bar on the other side) overlooks the living/dining area.
Products and Materials: Sterling Custom Cabinetry, polished Labradorite granite counters; glass bartop, Sub-Zero refrigeration, KWC faucets, Betlan Corp. custom ventilation hood, oak flooring, Ann Sacks glass mosaic tile.
